You are about to learn more about a really awesome book blogger. Are you ready?
Today our guest is Gabbie from Rampant Readers! Whoohoo! I am giving away Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout - one of her top three books!
On Gabbie + Reading
1. Tell us a little about yourself.Hi there! I’m Gabbie. I’m a junior in high school, and I love every moment of it. I’m a super nerd, with all my studying and reading. I have big plans for my future, and I’m hoping that my blog followers will be there to experience it with me. I’m a competitive cheerleader for all-stars and high school. And that’s about it…I’m
a really boring person actually! But I hope that doesn’t stop you from wanting to get to know me! O.o
Connect with Gabbie:
My favorite genre is young adult. Specifically YA paranormal and contemporary romance. With paranormal, I love the aspect of being able to live in an unreal world. It’s so fun! And with contemporary, well, I love me some romance! I’ll give any book with a dash of romance a try!
3. What book is at the top of your wishlist?
Ach! That’s a hard one! Can I pick two? Or ten? I’ll try to narrow it down!
Origin by Jennifer Armentrout (Daemon…sigh…)
Apollyon by Jennifer Armentrout (I can’t wait to see what happens with Alex!)
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare (I am literally shaking waiting for this last installment…why is it so far away?)
The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (Noah Shaw. That is all.)
4. What are your top three favorite books?
Such a hard question…but I’ll try!
1. Onyx by Jennifer Armentrout
2. The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

On Gabbie + Blogging
5. How long have you been blogging? What have you learnt?I’ve been blogging since June of 2012. Not long, I know! But in that short time I’ve learned so much. Before I started blogging there were a lot of things that I had never heard of, like ARCs, the whole blogging community, giveaway hops and everything! It’s really been a learning experience!
6. What is your favorite aspect of blogging? What are the downers?
My favorite part of blogging, I’d have to say, is being able to share my love of books with other people who love them too. My friends and family are pretty much anti-book, so it’s awesome to have a place where I can share my thoughts to people who genuinely care. The downer of it is that it’s so time consuming! I’m still looking for that balance of school, cheer, and blogging. But I’m getting there!
7. Describe your blog in a short sentence. No run-ons. :P
My blog is a place where strangers and I can talk about our love of books, with no one to judge us.
8. Anything you want to ask the readers?
I want to ask my readers to please stick with me through this! I’m still trying to find my blogging ‘norm’ and I just ask that you please bear with me!

I also love reading and sharing and love the fact that most bloggers don't judge and we can enjoy the conversations.
ReplyDeleteI know--it's great to not be judged for doing something that we love.
DeleteI enjoy reading what you have to say about books so keep it up and eventually you'll get the balance you want with blogging and life : )
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm hoping it's soon(:
DeleteTotally agree with your book picks! And your favorite genres--I always feel like it's kinda weird that I love fantasy and contemporary the most, since they seem so different, but sometimes I like to escape to a world close to my own, and other times I want to visit a place that could never exist in my world! :)
ReplyDeleteVery true!
DeleteI so get where being she is coming from on her on her family being anti-book mine is to. Will have to check out her blog! Also LOVE her fav. books.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWow,I am impressed with Gabbie. She is a great student, has her eyes set on a future goal, book lover, book blogger and is cheerleader. That is a rare combination. And I and trying not to go through Daemon and Jace withdraws but Origin and CoHF can't come fast enough!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteAnd I knoww! I need those books. Right. Now. Ahhh!

ReplyDeleteGreat interview~ I'm not a blogger D: I find that it's too much work and ugh, I just can't with school. We have the same taste in books <3
ReplyDeleteTotally understandable. I don't know how people manage it so well!
Deletei love reading
ReplyDeleteBook blogging is very time-consuming. You speak the truth! I admire the people that manage to have a new post every day or twice a day!
ReplyDeleteHeyy! I just finished reading your little "profile". I have a pretty boring life too, but I always do enjoy discussing books (unfortunately, I seem to be pretty the only one in my group of friends that enjoys reading). I also think it's incredibly nice of you to share your favorite book (I don't really understand how the whole system of giveaways work, since I discovered them two days ago by accident). Good luck with finding time for blogging (I'm a junior with big plans for the future too, i.e. college, so I have extreme time management issues, and I know exactly how it feels).

I really need to read some Jennifer Armentrout books since we seem to share the same taste about the other two.
ReplyDeleteGabbie, I actually found your blog before I saw this post here and I can say that it's impressive for someone who is still in high school to be so passionate about books. It's great! I wish you the best in your blogging and I love all your choices you mentioned in your interview, those are some great books!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the amazing giveaway!
I know...she's such an amazing writer!
DeleteI'll have to check out your favorite books! As a writer I can't thank you enough for being a blogger!
ReplyDeleteGreat interview! I'll definitely be checking out Gabbie's blog. And yeah, City of Heavenly Fire is at the top of my wishlist too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog!
DeleteGabbie, I think it would be difficult for you to do cheerleading and be a book blogger? I don't think the general "idea" of a cheerleader is really of being a book nerd. I love that you break out of the normal role of cheerleader! I follow you on Facebook and look forward to more from you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great interview,
Marlena
